In order to be a good crafter, you have to experiment with your projects. Sometimes this really pays off, and sometimes it results in a terrible creation and loss of supplies.
I recently had a bad experience with the latter, when I attempted to knit a penguin hat.

My Sad-Looking Penguin Hat
Normally, I would just cut my yarn losses and just throw this sad looking penguin in the garbage. But seeing as the Red Wings are facing off against the Penguins tonight in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, I felt that a ceremonial destruction was in order.

The Destruction
Now I even get some of my yarn back. Go Red Wings!
P.S. I really don’t have anything against penguins, the animals. I’m really quite fond of them actually.

Oh no! My sewing machine actually turned to the dark side a couple of weeks ago too. Very sad.
