As promised, I’ve brought more pictures of new hats. This one is pretty neat – Spongebob Squarepants.

I must apologize for my lack of posting lately. I’ve been so busy with custom orders and such. I’ve made lots of new hats in the last couple of weeks, so I’ll be sharing them with you this week and next. First up: a couple of green buddies you might recognize.

I made these two for a craft fair I did last weekend. They were definitely big favorites. I’ll be back later this week with a few more recent creations.

I’m absolutely over the moon happy today, because one of my hats was featured in The Storque, Etsy’s blog. I’ve already gotten so many new views and hearts from it. The post was titled, “Undiscovered Territory,” because it highlighted some of us sellers who are just getting started and don’t have many sales yet. It’s really awesome that those kinds of opportunities are available in a community like Etsy. I’ve had a lot of luck lately with sales and some special orders and commissions, so I’m really excited to see what the next couple of months will bring. It can only get better from here!

Okay, I’m sorry for the terrible pun, but Helvetica just lends itself to so many (not-so) funny titles, I just couldn’t help myself. If you’re not familiar with Helvetica, it’s a very basic but very stylish (in my opinion, anyway) typeface. You’ve seen it everywhere from American Apparel signs to the subway system in New York City. Because of its popularity, Helvetica seems to show up on all kinds of DIY items. Here are a few of my favorites that celebrate one of my favorite fonts.

I’ve been making a lot of really cool hats lately. I think I’ve shared most of them with you already, but I’ll have to double check and maybe do a catch-up post later in the week. Anyway, this is one of the coolest ones I’ve made so far. Who doesn’t love a good unicorn?!

You can’t tell from the photo, but the yarn I used is actually sparkly. And then I used felt for the ears and the horn. I haven’t seen one like this yet, so I’m pretty excited about it.

Recently, I encountered a problem that most of us do at some point or another…t-shirt overload. I have a number of old t-shirts that I just don’t wear anymore, but can’t bear getting rid of. Instead of doing the unthinkable with an old Smiths shirt, I decided to do some surgery.

This project is simple and only requires an old t-shirt and a pillow form. Pillow forms are pretty flexible, so whatever size you cut and sew your t-shirt, it will probably fit into it. Here’s my finished product:

I love Star Wars. I also love yarn, crocheting, and amigurumi. Guess what? I found something that encompasses all these loves of mine. Witness the awesomeness below.

Craftster user Angry Angel says she’s been working on these little guys for the past couple of years. Well I’m here to tell her: time well spent. I’m not being sarcastic at all. These are fantastic and I’m so incredibly jealous I didn’t make them first. My favorites are Yoda and R2D2.

So I’ve been working really hard lately on getting a bunch of new items listed in my shop, so I feel entitled to share them with you here. There’s actually a fairly big variety (it’s not all just quirky kids’ hats anymore ).

This mustard yellow hat with the large brown bow is one of my favorites. It also has a matching scarf.

I’ve made several of these flower scarves in the past few weeks. This is one of my favorites, but there are a bunch of other colors to choose from.

And if you can’t tell, I’ve had a thing for bows lately, so I made a few of these cute little knit hair clips.

And don’t forget about my yarn ball jewelry! This ring is new, but I still have several pairs of earrings available as well.
