Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town!

By Annie
Time for another hat! This one is obviously in celebration of the holiday season – a knit Santa hat!

When I was little I always loved getting into the holiday spirit with one of my family’s many santa hats. You know these are a must for Christmas parties.
This one is sized for a toddler, but [...]

Cupcake Cutie

By Annie
I already have a love for all things dessert, and this is especially true for cupcakes. So when you combine that love with my love of knitting – well, you can imagine.

I’m working on some cupcakes with different colors, sprinkles, etc. in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out. In the mean time, [...]

March of the Penguin

By Annie
I’ve recently finished a whole lot of hats, so you can expect a lot of new-hat-posts in the coming days. I really like this one, because my favorite animal is the penguin.

You can find this hat on my Etsy shop – just $10 for one lucky penguin lover!

A Look Back: Crazy Turkey Hat

By Annie
Did I mention that I love it when people crochet the most ridiculous things? This definitely falls into that category. In honor of Thanksgiving, why not make yourself (or a loved one) this extremely elaborate and large hat that looks like a turkey is sitting on your head?
My favorite part is the feet that [...]

Holiday To-Do List

By Annie
I’ve always been a supporter of the “Christmas season doesn’t start until AFTER Thanksgiving” school of thought, but as we all know, the crafter calendar is a bit ahead of the regular calendar. Therefore, my official holiday season starts today.
There are a lot of things I’m hoping to make in the next month and [...]

Crocheted Circle Scarf

By Annie
In the spirit of scarf season, I have another lovely creation to share with you. This scarf is made up of small crocheted circles in different colors and sizes. When put together, they make up this really cute quirky design.

I always get a lot of compliments on this scarf, and it was actually a [...]

This Little Piggy

By Annie
I’m really enjoying hat season so far. I just finished up another one: a pig!

I used light pink yarn to make a pretty standard kid-sized hat. Then I used felt to create the eyes, nose, ears, and my favorite part – the curly tail!

Looking for Some Sunshine?

By Annie
I’m not sure about how the weather is wherever you live, but in Chicago it has been disgustingly terrible the past few days.  Rain, cold, wind – it’s enough to make a girl want to lock herself in her apartment all weekend (and write in her blog…?)
So I think it’s time that I unveil [...]

Lovely Ladybug

By Annie
I finished hat #2 yesterday! Take a look:

This one is baby size. It is made out of red and black soft yarn and I sewed eight felt dots on it.  I’m also in the process of making a larger child’s size one.  Look for them both on Etsy!
